Your child’s future success begins with getting a good education now. By completing the activities related to your child’s education and earning the education Rewards, you are helping your child prepare for a bright and secure future.
Each education Reward activity has been chosen because it will improve your child’s education. By completing these activities, you are building a stronger connection between you and your child’s teachers, encouraging your child to achieve in school, and bringing your family closer together. Earning the education Rewards helps you and your family.

Elementary School
Families with students in grades K-5 can earn Rewards for activities such as passing standardized tests and attending parent-teacher meetings.

If you have a student in grades 6-8, your family can earn Rewards for a variety of activities including attending parent-teacher meetings and passing standardized tests.

Links For Education
Would you like a free tutor for your child? A program called Supplemental Educational Services (SES) offers tutoring completely free of charge to students who fit the requirements. Most students who attend a school on New York’s list of schools in need of improvement and who are also eligible for free lunch can apply for a free tutor in reading, English Language Arts, or math.
Students meet with tutors outside school—before or after school or on weekends—anywhere that’s convenient for them, usually at their school, the library, or even in their own home or online. Students can start working with a tutor at any time during the school year.

Schools Eligible for SES >>
If you find your child’s school there, the next step is applying for a tutor. Ask the school’s guidance counselor, principal, or any other administrator for all the information you’ll need to apply. If you have any other questions, talk with your community organization.
